CHATEAU BOIS DE LA CHARBONNIERE
This region is made up of limestone plateaux at around 100 metres above sea level, which is why it is called the "High Country" of Bordeaux. AC Bordeaux Supérieur is produced throughout the winemaking zones of the Gironde department. The wines must conform to rigorous quality criteria and are made from grapes from selected vineyard parcels and older vines. The red Bordeaux Supérieur is characterised by great aromatic complexity combining ripe fruits, floral aromas, spice and often a hint of oak.
Grape varieties : Merlot , Cabernet Sauvignon , Cabernet Franc .
Traditional. Destemming and crushing of the grapes. Maceration and controlled-temperature fermentation for 15 days. Extraction through pumping over and punching down. Ageing: In tank. Bottling: At the property.
The professional tasting note
Lively red colour with good intensity. Clean and simple nose of red fruits. Round and fruity on the palate.
Cold meats, roast beef, cheese. Serve at: 17-18°C.
